Igloofest Montreal 2027

Igloofest Montreal 2027 runs from Thursday 14 January to Saturday 6 February 2027 on the Quai Jacques-Cartier in Montreal's Old Port (Jacques-Cartier Pier on the organiser's English pages): twelve nights, Thursday to Saturday over four weekends. The first set is at 19:30. The organiser's English FAQ puts the end at 23:00 on Thursdays and at 00:30 on Fridays and Saturdays. The site has two stages and an Igloovillage, a few minutes' walk from Place-d'Armes and Champ-de-Mars metro stations, on the orange line. Who plays which night is on the line-up page.

Updated

The twelve nights and their hours

  • Weekend 1: Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16 January 2027.
  • Weekend 2: Thursday 21, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January 2027.
  • Weekend 3: Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 January 2027.
  • Weekend 4: Thursday 4, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 February 2027.

The organiser's English FAQ answers the question of hours in one line: "Join us from 7:30pm to 11pm on Thursdays, and from 7:30pm to 12:30am on Fridays and Saturdays." The French FAQ gives no hours. The latest set of the season starts at 23:15 on Saturday 6 February. A Montreal ticket is for one night, from the one shop the organiser accepts, and entry is for those aged 18 and over with photo ID. The rest is on the tickets page.

The Quai Jacques-Cartier

The organiser names the quay but not a street number: Quai Jacques-Cartier, Old Port of Montreal. On 24 October 2026 its French transport page still said the site map was "Bientôt dévoilé", coming soon. The English page has no site-map line. It gives no count of entrances. Its accessibility page names a VIP entrance on the west platform, and a central aisle that serves as the exit at the end of the night. There is no cloakroom in Montreal. The festival is outdoors, on the quay, in January and February. What to wear and what to bring are on what to wear. Find the Quai Jacques-Cartier on Google Maps

By metro: orange line, Place-d'Armes or Champ-de-Mars

Both stations are a few minutes' walk from the site, according to the organiser's FAQ. Its Location and transportation page lists the last trains, under "Last subway passage".

  • Place-d'Armes, towards Montmorency: 00:51, or 01:21 on Saturdays. Towards Côte-Vertu: 01:00, or 01:30 on Saturdays.
  • Champ-de-Mars, towards Montmorency: 00:52, or 01:22 on Saturdays. Towards Côte-Vertu: 00:59, or 01:29 on Saturdays.

The page does not say whether Saturday means the night from Friday into Saturday or the night from Saturday into Sunday. On a Friday or a Saturday the night ends at 00:30, and the earliest of these trains leaves 21 minutes later. These are the organiser's times. They have not been checked against the timetable of the STM, Montreal's transport authority. Check them there before relying on the last train.

By bus, train, coach or car

The organiser names three bus routes.

  • 55 Saint-Laurent, stop Saint-Laurent / Saint-Jacques
  • 715 Vieux-Montréal / Vieux-Port, stop Notre-Dame / De Bonsecours
  • 361 Saint-Denis, a night bus, stop Place Jacques-Cartier

From Montréal-Trudeau airport it names the shuttle to the city centre, the 747 YUL Aéroport Montréal-Trudeau / Centre-Ville. By train, VIA Rail and Amtrak use the Gare centrale, at Bonaventure metro. By coach, the Gare d'autocars de Montréal is at Berri-UQAM metro. By car, rue de la Commune, rue Berri and boulevard Saint-Laurent lead to the Old Port's entrances and car parks, and the organiser names car parks at the Quai de l'Horloge and the Quai King-Edward. All of this is on its Location and transportation page.

Past editions in Montreal

In 2026 Montreal held its 18th edition, from Thursday 15 January to Saturday 7 February, over four weekends in the Old Port, as in 2027. The organiser gives the 2027 edition no number. The festival began in 2007. Gatineau, Quebec City and Edmonton are on the main page.
