Sensation 2015, a festival fan site back online
Sensation2015.com followed Sensation, the dance festival where the whole crowd wears white. From October 2014 to June 2015 it covered the shows in Amsterdam, Dubai, Monterrey and Moscow in English, Russian and Spanish. Its pages have been rebuilt from the Internet Archive and are served again here, inside Fest.

What this is
One fan, one festival, every city it played
Sensation is an all-white dance night that played all over the world — the site's sidebar lists twenty-one stops, from Belgium to the United States. This site set out to follow all of it: dates as they were announced, live streams on the night, videos afterwards. Its footer put the method in one line: the developer is aggregating information about Sensation White and Sensation 2015.
The posts came in three languages because the readers did. The Moscow show of 12 June 2015 was written up in Russian, with the line-up and how to buy a ticket; Monterrey and Chile were covered in Spanish as well as English. The site said plainly what it was: a fan site, not the festival's own.
What it covered
Sensation from 2009 to 2015, city by city
Every line below comes from a page you can open here, with the date and the place as that page records them.
Two entries worth reading twice
A live stream hunt, and a flash mob in white
Most of a fan site is bookkeeping: dates, prices, who is playing. Two posts are something else.
On 8 November 2014, with Sensation playing Arena Monterrey, the site turned the night into a hunt: readers were to look for live streams, tweet the links under the hashtag, and it would retweet every one. The post carries the night's running order, from doors at 20:00 to Sander van Doorn at three in the morning.
The second was written for everyone who could not get to Moscow on 12 June 2015. Wear white that day, it said, go out, take pictures with other people in white, and in the evening watch the broadcast from Moscow wherever you are. It added, in so many words, that the flash mob was not an official Sensation event.
Where to start
Twenty-three festival pages, open again
Their text came back out of the Wayback Machine as it was found, each page in the language it was written in, with a new layout and an English summary. Most of the pictures did not survive, and a link to a page the archive lost is left as plain text.
The rest of the network
Where the Sensation story goes next
The Sensation site of 2016 thanks the readers of this one by name, alongside sensation2013.ru and sensation2014.ru. It is back online too, and so is Fest, the festival portal it called itself a prototype for.
Archive. Every page here was restored from snapshots taken between December 2014 and June 2015. The wording is the original site's, in English, Russian and Spanish; the layout is new, each page has an English title and summary, and the owner's contact details, the tracking code, a login form and the ticket and T-shirt sales were left out. Nothing on this page is stated that those pages do not say. The events themselves have taken place and ticket sales are closed.
